Excursion through the old part of Tashkent: visiting the religious complex Khasti Imam: consisting of Kaffal Shashi Mausoleum (XV century), Barak Khan Madrassah (XVI century), Muy-Mubarak Mosque – a storehouse of the well-known Koran of Khalif Osman and gold hair of prophet Muhammad; Dzhuma-mosque of Khodja Akhrar Vali.

Excursion through a new part of Tashkent: the State Museum of Applied Arts of Uzbekistan, Monument of Courage, the monument to the fallen of World War II, and Square of Independence.

Caravans come to China from West to East and our route starts from Khiva, a museum city under the sky. 

06:00 Transfer to the airport, 07:50 flight to Urgench, 09:30 arrival and transfer to Khiva (30 km). Khiva hotel accommodation.

City tour in Khiva: Ichan-Kala architectural complex (XII-XIX), the Residence of the last Khiva Khan including Ismail Khodja Mausoleum, Muhammed Amin Khan Madrassah, Kunya-Ark Castle (XVI-XVI), Kalta Minor Tower, Tash-Hovli Palace (XIX), Pahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum(XIV-XVIII), Juma Mosque (X) and other Khiva tourist sights. Narrow streets, carved “ayvans” veranda and doors, majestic minarets and mausoleums, heritage and arts –all kept with care in this city as a great treasure.

In old days, the route from Khiva to Bukhara lasted more than a month. Today it takes 7 – 8 hours by vehicle, through the mysterious red desert “Kyzyl-Kum”, the territory of “Khorezm”, which was called in the past a “State of Thousand and Hundred Cities”. What kind of secrets are buried in this desert, this is something that archeologists and historians will be trying to find in the future. Meanwhile, you are invited to view the exotic landscapes of the desert with roaming camels, nomadic yurts, and the old Amudarya River (Oxus).

City tour in Bukhara: Ismael Samani Mausoleum (the tomb of representatives of Samanids’ Jeweler at the end of IX – beginning of X), Chashma Ayub Mausoleum, Bolo-Hauz Mosque, Citadel Ark – a city in a city, Poi Kalon Ensemble (Pedestal of the Great) - the religious heart of Sacred Bukhara, consists of Minaret Kalon, Kalyan Mosque, Miri Arab Madrassah,  Ulugbek’s Madrassah, Madrassah Nodir Divanbeghi, Abdul Aziz Khan Madrassah, Magoki-Attori Mosque, Lyabi-Khauz Ensemble, Kosh-Madrassah Ensemble (consisting of two resisting Madari-Abdullakhan Madrassah (Abdullakhan’s mother) and Abdullakhan Madrassah). Chor-Minor (four minarets). 

Walk the old Jewish streets, visiting Synagogue.

A trip out of Bukhara city for a visit to Bahouddin Nakshbandi Mausoleum, to the sepulchers of his mother and his preceptor, Mausoleum Chor-Bakr, visit summer residence Sitorai Mokhi Khosa. There you can see where the Emirs of Bukhara spent their time during long and hot summers while taking a rest. Feed some bread to peacocks and make a pilgrimage to holy sites.   

Transfer to the railway station for the train to Samarkand (15:50 – 17:30)

Full-day city tour in Samarkand: Mausoleum Guri Emir – Tamerlane’s Tomb, visiting of morning East Siab Bazaar, Registan Square – Madrassah Ulugbek, Madrassah Shir-Dor, Madrassah Tillya-Kori, Bibi Khanum Mosque, Architectural Complex Shakh-i-Zinda.

Visiting carpet factory Hudzhum – handmade silk carpets in an old Synagogue. Proceed further to Ulugbek Observatory, excavations, and Museum of the ancient city of Afrosiab, the mausoleum of Saint Daniel.

Workshop visiting on manufacturing of silk paper (handmade). 

Transfer to the railway station for the train to Tashkent (17:00 – 19:10)
